While Android’s Market isn’t really a household name yet, as in the case of Apple’s Appstore, it’s still going in the right direction. On the blog, Android Developers announced about some new features in the Android Market. The developers can now show the screenshots of their applications to allow users see the application screens before getting them. Also added are promotional icons and application descriptions. This will help in giving a better idea about the application before a user decides to use it. Four new sub-categories have been added to the market, namely sports, health, themes, and comics. These new categories can be used to include new applications fitting in the category or even the existing applications can be included in the new categories.
