iPhone OS 4.0 beta is coming along with Internet tethering from AT&T!

Since Apple has introduced “Get a sneak peak of the future of iPhone OS 4.0”, there were a lot of predictions for the OS v 4.0. The people, who are already armed with iPhone, were quietly aware of the iPhone limitation. The question aroused whether iPhone can lag other smartphones in some areas other than market share.

In the preview session of OS 4.0 beta version, Apple replied to the people that iPhone new OS includes multitasking for third party apps; Folders to better organize and access apps; improved Mail with a unified inbox, fast inbox switching and threaded messages etc. Now Internet tethering from AT&T on the newest beta of iPhone OS 4.0 just came as a long-overdue feature on OS 4.0.

Last year, tethering was first released as a feature on iPhone OS 3.0. But at that time AT&T did not support the wireless traffic and its lack of durability delayed the rollout of MMS. Now AT&T can support tethering for its data-hungry users, so beta version 4 is setting up Internet tethering with AT&T via phone and web.

Apple have not yet assured whether it would actually come with the final version of iPhone OS 4.0. But it is a good sign for the users that AT&T is finally supporting Internet tethering that it should have supported a long time ago.
