Since Apple has announced few rules and guidelines for iPhone Application developments tools to create iOS party apps, Adobe reacted to that with a positive statement. Adobe called Apple’s decision “great news for developers.”
Now the first question is what Apple’s new rules and guidelines mean for iPhone Application developers. If we think of that short history of April 2010, Apple had banned developers from using Flash to build iOS applications, after which Adobe said it would no longer invest in the Flash CS5 feature that lets developers create Flash apps for the iOS platform.
Since then we heard about a big hubbub made in between Apple and Adobe. Now, after Apple has taken a step back and lifted most of the restrictions for HTML CS5, Adobe stated that as Apple has lifted restrictions on its third-party developer guidelines, they would continue to develop the features in the Flash CS5 authoring tool. And this will enable Flash developers to quickly and easily deliver applications for iOS devices.
So it is good news for app developers who can once again safely use Flash to create iPhone apps, knowing they have support from Adobe and that their apps won’t get banned by Apple.
